I fell in love with this exquisite silver jewelry from Laos, a country I’ve longed to visit. Each elegant piece could seamlessly fit into the collections of more expensive, traditional jewelers, though available here at a fraction of the price. With the Dok Phikoun flower—a symbol of good fortune and a long, happy life—as their powerful inspiration, artisans create these stunning works using centuries-old methods. The patterns and styles have adorned the Lao Royal Family and you will feel equally as regal wearing this jewelry…and you will feel – and look – equally regal wearing this jewelry. Enjoy! - JG
This bracelet comes from master craftspeople in Laos. Made of sterling silver, it features an intricate woven pattern that has been used by the Lao tribes for centuries. The overlapping central weaving is complimented by double layers of braided trim, creating sophisticated levels of decoration. An elegant and substantial cuff bracelet that is surprisingly lightweight on the wrist.
This cuff bracelet is 1 1/8" wide. It adjusts to comfortably fit any size wrist.
Orijyn, based in San Francisco, supports art, fosters education and sustains culture by purchasing handcrafted Lao silver jewelry and silk weavings. The company helps the master craftsmen and village women weaving artisans find markets for their products, while introducing self-sustaining business practices to generate revenue and improve their standard of living. Additional profits are donated to PADETC, a non-profit alternate learning school in Vientiane, Laos, which prepares young leaders for a changing world.
