Our last post focused on summer friendly meals from London’s chef extraordinaire, Yotam Ottolenghi. In addition to capping off our sun-filled days with fresh, delicious food, we at The Traveler’s Collection love to turn up the tunes. Whether it be at our rooftop barbeques, at a post-work happy hour, or in the kitchen while preparing dinner, good music beautifully compliments summertime’s feel-good energy. This is why we’ve decided to follow our Recipes from Abroad entry with songs by Ben l’Oncle Soul, an international musician who is guaranteed to add flavor to your summer nights.

Ben l’Oncle Soul, born Benjamin Duterde, is a French soul singer and songwriter. Ever since his first album was released by Motown Records in 2010, he has participated in several jazz festivals and has gained worldwide popularity through his infectious, spunky personna. If you’re looking for some fun, upbeat tunes to add to your traveler’s playlist this summer, check out the following from this French Soulman. Both in French and in English, his music will instantaneously get you, your family, and friends shakin’ your groove thangs.
