At last, summer is officially here! And as I sit here channeling Will Smith’s “Summertime” jam, I find myself dreaming of warm sand under my toes and sweet rays on my skin. For those of you discerning travelers planning a journey to the sun-soaked shores, here’s a summer packing list with beach essentials we wouldn’t leave home without!

1. Yellow Swarovski Thong Sandals: Bright colors are all the rage this season.I love these yellow swarovski thong sandals from Pakistan because they add the perfect pop of color to your beach look. They’re also perfect for packing since they’re so compact, they will fit into even the tiniest overnight bag.

2. Explorer Hat: This might be the most important item (aside from sunscreen!) We know the danger that sun can cause on your precious skin. Avoid the risk and shade yourself with this beautiful hat handmade in Mexico. Forget to apply extra sunscreen? This hat has the highest rating of UPF 50+, bringing you extra sun protection all day long. And, I personally love the color and wide brim on this hat - you won’t find me on the beach without it this summer.

3. Silver Peony Sarong: I love the look and feel of this beautifully designed sarong—ideal as a beach cover-up and lightweight enough to easily pack in your suitcase and tote bag. Providing sustainable income to underprivileged women in Beirut, this exquisite piece is handmade using soft, color-rich Egyptian cotton and fine yarn for the delicately crocheted trim.

4. Reversible Tote: As travelers, we know that every inch of space in a suitcase is valuable. When I was introduced to these stylish bags with a dual purpose, I thought, “brilliant!” The reversible bag doubles as a carry-on and a beach bag—one side is soft suede, the other is canvas. And, again with bright colors being so “in” this season, the bright orange tones in this bag are a great take on the trend.

There you have it. Now turn off that computer/iphone/ipad and enjoy the outdoors!
